Our client an upcoming media house is looking to hire a freelance political analyst on temporary basis.

The country is in a political mood due to the forth coming general election and it is on this basis that this position has been created. The political analysts will be required to write columns in the newspapers as well as in the media house’s homepage.

The content of the columns will include, describing the country’s political situation on a weekly basis, forecasting future political situation, potential economic effects of the political situation and any other essential political aspects as directed by the political editor.

Occasionally the incumbent will be called upon to live interviews to give opinion regarding politics and the country’s forthcoming general elections. Application is invited from Kenya citizens who hold a Masters degree strictly in political science. Please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement.
Applicants should have at least three years’ post graduation work experience in political analysis and or writing.

In addition, they should have an outgoing personality, excellent communication, facilitation and report writing skills. The successful candidate can look forward to vaed and stimulating work in a professional environment which encourages full responsibility.
